Not Necessary. Our collar is fully adjustable, with one size for puppies and dogs up to 22 lbs, and one for puppies and dogs 22.1–110 lbs. The keeper loop makes it easy to adjust and remove for baths. However, it's not a problem if you cut excess collar off but, in theory, there is no need.
